60th Ordination Anniversary Celebration for the Rev. Vern Jones

Bishop Marc Andrus will celebrate the Eucharist on Saturday, July 21, at Good Shepherd, Belmont, to commemorate the 60th ordination anniversary of the Rev. Vern Jones who has been a priest of the Diocese of California for 35 years. In his 20 years of retirement he has continued an active priesthood having supplied 53 parishes, most recently in Taiwan. He is chaplain of the diocesan retired clergy, a 30-year volunteer nave chaplain at Grace Cathedral, 30 years on the Board of Canterbury at Stanford, and volunteer chaplain at a mental hospital for 35 years.
