I AM the Door*

Between spirituality and religion lies the area of spiritual practice. Prayer beads, candles, icons, labyrinths, stations of the cross all are Christian practices that millions of people enact across the world in a space that lies in between committed religious life and unaligned spirituality.

You are invited to join the Rev. Matthew Fox and Bishop Marc Andrus for a retreat and workshop around a new, emerging set of public and personal practices of the Cosmic Christ. Matthew and Marc, with the help of two artists, are creating a public practice of walking the archetypes of the Cosmic Christ (including the “I AM” statements such as pictured above) and a personal practice of the Cosmic Christ that uses the images arrayed in a mandala and as a prayer deck.

This retreat will encourage a creative process whereby retreat participants will share their responses to the practices at an early stage of their creation so that your creative energy can become part of the finished work.  In addition to some in-put from Matthew and Marc the two artists involved in this project will also be in attendance to share their contributions and invite further wisdom from participants. A $60 donation is asked to cover meal costs. Student scholarships are available.
