Creating a Culture of Peace: Active Nonviolence Workshop in Jesus' Third Way

Saturday, March 10, 2018, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
In these divisive times, it can be difficult to live out our Baptismal promises:  "to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves,” “Striving for justice and peace among all people,” and “respecting the dignity of every human being.”  Yet, Jesus already has shown us nonviolent ways of living in community.

This introductory workshop introduces nonviolent practices through interactive group exercises, stories, reflection and discussion. It provides strategies to engage others respectfully and constructively, even in sticky social situations. Group leaders, teens, and anyone dealing with conflict or controversy in the family, school, work, or organizations, will feel more creative and empowered to respond.  Come to learn with Janet Chisholm, a longtime nonviolence trainer and local Episcopalian.

Cost: $10 (scholarships available. no one will be turned away.)
