Step by Step: Walking to Independence — Clausen House's Annual Walk at Lake Merritt

Clausen House, the Greater Oakland Area’s premier service provider for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is holding its annual Walk for Clausen House fundraiser. Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf will kick off the Walk, which will then follow a path through Lakeside Park before returning to the Pergola for entertainment, music and dancing and one of Clausen House’s fantastic raffles! Continental breakfast will be served during registration and check-in. Founded in 1967 by families that wanted an alternative, life-affirming care situation for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Clausen House is the longest running, full-service provider in the East Bay. Clausen House welcomes Walkers ($25 registration), Virtual Walkers (who can’t make it to the event but want to walk to raise funds for Clausen House), Teams of individuals walking together, Donations and Event Sponsors.

Cost: Minimum registration fee of $25, but more is appreciated
