Committee on Governance
Mission
The mission of the COG is to monitor regularly the process of governance in the Diocese, focusing on the Episcopate and Diocesan staff, Standing Committee, Executive Council, Diocesan Convention, and Deaneries.
The purpose of ongoing monitoring is three-fold:
- To ensure that the governance structures are functioning in compliance with the canons and in a manner that is transparent to the wider Diocesan community;
- To recommend best practices in accordance with the specific needs of the Diocese;
- To evaluate the extent to which existing governance structures are responding adequately to emerging challenges.
The Standing Committee and Executive Council constitute the COG, each appointing three members. The COG reports to the Standing Committee.
