Episcopal Charities’ Action Networks celebration a success

Episcopal congregants, community volunteers, nonprofit agency representatives, and clergy from across the San Francisco Bay Area gathered on Sunday, May 6, to celebrate Episcopal Charities’ Action Networks. This festive reception was a time for people to connect, share stories, and learn about the success and growth of the regional Action Networks. Bishop Marc spoke particularly about the importance of Episcopal Charities’ mission to address the root causes of poverty.

Congregants and clergy from all deaneries of the diocese attended the event, representing congregations that included All Souls, Berkeley; Christ Church — Sei Ko Kai, San Francisco; Christ Church, Alameda; Christ the Lord, Pinole; Holy Innocents, Corte Madera; St. Augustine’s, Oakland; St. Bartholomew’s, Livermore; St. Bede’s, Menlo Park; St. Clement’s, Berkeley; St. Elizabeth’s, San Francisco; St. Andrews, San Bruno; St. Francis, Novato; St. John’s, Clayton; St. Paul’s, Oakland; St. Paul’s, Walnut Creek; Transfiguration, San Mateo; Our Saviour, Mill Valley and Trinity, San Francisco. The event also drew representatives from the School for Deacons, Pacific School of Religion, The Church of England Newspaper, and a dozen local nonprofits.
