Bishop Marc blesses buildings and community of CDSP

On Thursday, October 1, Bishop Marc joined the community of Church Divinity School of the Pacific in blessing the buildings on campus and the various ministries that they support, celebrating a renewal and promising future for the 122-year old school. Following a short Eucharist, Bishop Marc and the Very Rev. Mark Richardson, dean of CDSP, proceeded to bless the buildings and their respective ministries: Gibbs Hall, the home of the 2015-16 DioCal interns; Euston Hall, a conference center and location of some administrative offices, and other classroom and student living spaces.

Following the service, the community came together for a delicious turkey dinner cooked by graduates of Episcopal Community Services’ chef training program. In a Q&A discussion over dinner, members of the CDSP community had the opportunity to talk with Bishop Marc and others about the role of theological education and the future of the church.
