A star is born at Epiphany, San Carlos
The first week of January in San Carlos means celebrating the bonds of friendship and community with a party. Each year Epiphany, San Carlos, celebrates the feast of their namesake with an Epiphany surprise. In years past this has included a visit from a live camel, a truck load of snow for some winter play, and even a magical performance from a “magi-ician”. This year members were surprised by a new mural depicting a night sky and the star of Bethlehem over the choir loft. Now as members of the community are sent out into the world each week they will be reminded of their mission to “know and share God's Light.” The mural was painted by the associate rector, the Rev. Alan Gates.
