The Rev. Chris Rankin-Williams

I have had the joy of serving as Rector of St. John's in Ross since 2003.  I love parish ministry and preaching.  I'm avid cyclist and strive to connect Christian spirituality with activities like cycling, running, etc. A lifelong Episcopalian, I was raised in an all Mormon neighborhood in Salt Lake City, Utah and attending Catholic high school.  I attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon where I met my wife.  We have two teenage children.  I did my seminary training at Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

My broader involvement in the Episcopal Church has included General Convention and ecumenical work.  In the Diocese of California I have been an alternate deputy to General Convention, served on the Assessment Appeals committee, the Assessment Formula Review committee, and the Canon to the Ordinary Search Committee. I currently serve on the Governance Committee.

In addition to riding bikes, I love coffee, music, social media, the San Francisco Giants and am a self-proclaimed connoisseur of India Pale Ale.
