The Ven. David Stickley was ordained in June 2009 in the Diocese of California. David graduated from School for Deacons in 2008 and from Ithaca College with a degree in business management in 1985. He currently works as Administrative Coordinator for Sojourn Chaplaincy at San Francisco General and on the faculty at the School for Deacons teaching first year Prayer Book Studies and Liturgical Practicum. David was born and raised in upstate New York, has been an Episcopalian as long as he can remember, and a resident of San Francisco for 19 years. His delightful Beagle is named Woody.

David’s ministries currently include serving with San Francisco Night Ministry as a Crisis Line Counselor in a volunteer capacity since 2004. David continues with Night Ministry as a Crisis Line Counselor and as part of the training team for new CLC’s. He also volunteers at St. Aidan’s Food Pantry; takes Communion to The Sheffield (an elder care facility) each month; and as serves as deacon at The Sanctuary monthly. Every year he also helps to bake all the pies for the Thanksgiving feast at Martin de Porres – from scratch.
