Creative Leadership — Michael Barlowe — part 4 of 4

This final session on creative leadership by the Rev. Cn. Michael Barlowe seeks to integrate previously discussed material with its practical implications on the parish level. He strongly challenges and encourages parishes to think about how structures should exist in ways that make the most sense in order that the best people can serve. If the structures don’t make sense, he suggests working to change them. These issues are illustrated with tales of two different churches and potential outcomes from answering adaptive challenges with technical solutions or with adaptive ones. He concludes his series by emphasizing the importance of structures that allow leaders to do what needs to be done and gives time for imagination, thought, and planning.
