Diversity — Eric Law — part 2 of 4

be::community - Eric Law pt2

Session two of Eric Law’s series on diversity focuses on authenticity — being true to all of ourselves, not just the externals that others can observe about us. Law examines how cultures are like icebergs: clothing and food can be seen and experienced with the senses, but cultures (like icebergs) go much deeper. In order to enable and promote authenticity, we must first be aware of our own assumptions about others and know our own cultures deeply. He concludes with summarizing the homework assignment of challenging people to tell personal stories of their faiths without using church jargon.
