Bishop Marc's climate work
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Marc Handley Andrus, Bishop of California, is a leading Episcopal voice on creation care issues and the fight against climate change. He has led several Episcopal delegations representing Presiding Bishop Michael Curry at the UN Climate Conferences in Paris (COP21), Marrakesh (COP22), Bonn (COP23), and Katowice, Poland (COP24). He is is currently preparing to take a key leadership role at climate discussions at the Lambeth Conference, a once-a-decade event gathering bishops and spouses from across the Anglican Communionf.or COP26 Bishop Andrus is a member of the We Are Still In Leaders' Circle, a diverse group of ambassadors for American climate action. The Diocese of California, under Bishop Andrus’ leadership, also has taken the lead in developing Sustain Island home, a carbon tracker for Episcopalians to record and visualize the impact of their efforts.
