Angela Kraft Cross, San Francisco organist, pianist, and composer, graduated Oberlin College/Conservatory of Music in 1980 with bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Organ Performance. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at Loma Linda University. Her organ teachers have included Louis Robilliard, Marie-Louise Langlais, and William Porter. In 2001, she was awarded the Associateship credential of the American Guild of Organists. She has studied composition with Pamela Decker.

Dr. Kraft Cross has given over six hundred concerts worldwide. In July 2011, she was a featured recitalist at the San Francisco AGO Regional Convention. She has eight solo CD albums, recorded in California and Europe. Since 2018, Lorenz Music/Sacred Music Press publishes her compositions and so far, has three books of organ compositions: Tree of Life, Journey to Wholeness and Messianic Longings and two anthems Exsultate Deo and What Does the Lord Require of You? She is Artist-in- Residence of the Congregational Church of San Mateo since 1993.

In addition to her musical career, Dr. Kraft Cross retired in 2011 having worked 22 years as an ophthalmic surgeon at Kaiser Permanente, and now volunteers as an ophthalmologist at Samaritan House. She deeply enjoys teaching young organists. Dr. Kraft Cross is the founding director of the San Francisco Peninsula Organ Academy, a nonprofit formed in 2014 supporting young concert organists with scholarships on short intensive overseas study trips. She is a member of Concert Artist Cooperative III.
