First Sundays Organ Recitals return to Trinity Chruch

Dr. Jin Kyung Lim is an organist, harpsichordist, and pianist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has given numerous solo recitals and concerts in the United States, South Korea, and multiple other countries. Jin recently embarked on a journey to perform all keyboard works by J. S. Bach along with chamber works in series at St. Mary’s Cathedral. She has performed for the concert series at Stanford Memorial Church (Stanford University), Adolphus Busch Hall (Harvard University), the American Church of Paris (Paris, France), the Church of Notre-Dame-d’Auteuil (Paris, France), Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Meaux (France), the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption (San Francisco), Trinity+St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (San Francisco), St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (Berkeley), the California Palace of the Legion of Honor (San Francisco), Congregational Church of San Mateo (San Mateo), Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (Reno, NV), and Christ Church Cathedral (Indianapolis, Indiana). She obtained her Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) after earning her Bachelor of Music from Yonsei University in South Korea. She studied under Charlotte Mattax Moersch on the harpsichord, Dana Robinson on the organ, and Joe Grant on choral conducting at UIUC.

She has enjoyed performing with a variety of ensemble groups as an active chamber musician, such as the Pacific Choir, Palo Alto Philharmonic, UI Wind Orchestra, Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, UI Chamber Singers, and Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana. At the age of fourteen, she began playing the organ in churches and presently holds the position of Music Associate at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco. She currently serves as vice president of the Junior Bach Festival Board and served as dean of the PA/PE AGO chapter from 2020 to 2022.
