Join us for an organ concert presented by Susan Jane Matthews, Director of Music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Burlingame, and founding director of the St. Paul’s Choir School. The concert will feature music by Fanny Hensel, Florence Price, Ghislaine Reece-Trapp, and Pamela Decker. This musical afternoon will continue with an Evensong service featuring St. Luke’s beloved organ and chancel choir. The rich musical history of this service continues to be enriched and expanded today by a new generation of composers. You’ll hear canticles by Melissa Dunphy (b.1980), Preces and Responses by Philip Moore (b.1943), and an anthem by Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winning composer Caroline Shaw (b.1982).
