He was Co-Founder and Music Director of the San Francisco Lyric Chorus for 25 years. For seventeen years he was one of the Museum Organists at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, performing over 300 recitals on the museum’s E.M. Skinner organ.

He served as Assistant Conductor-Accompanist for the San Fransisco Choral Society and Interim Assistant Organist at Grace Cathedral.

The Trinity Organ was built in 1924 by Ernest M. Skinner: four manuals, 54 ranks of pipes. It is considered to be one of the finest remaining examples of his artistry.
