Targeted Violence: Community Awareness and Prevention Strategies (part 1)

Description

Targeted Violence: Community Awareness and Prevention Strategies (part 1)

Targeted Violence” is any incident of violence where an individual or group selects a specific target, prior to an attack, regardless of motive.

Targeted Violence is preventable.

Prevention is better than reaction.

The goal of this training is to help those in need, preventing violence, and taking them off of the path to extremism.

This will be delivered using the Bay Area Urban Areas Security Initiative (BAUASI) developed curriculum, which takes a Public Health approach to violence prevention: evidence-based, multi-disciplinary, diverse, and focused on taking collective action using input from a wide range of stakeholders, including health, education, social services, justice, policy and the private sector.

Lars Eric Holm and Ron Halog were certified to deliver this BAUASI curriculum earlier this year (2022).

By registering once, you will have access to both sessions, using the same link.
