Churches & Ministries
Whether you’re looking for a new church home, new opportunities serve your community, or simply exploring our diverse array of ministries, the Episcopal Church in the Bay Area welcomes you!
Congregations
Our congregations are located in six Bay Area counties: San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Mateo, and Santa Clara. We warmly invite you to explore our diverse array of worshiping communities.
Church Online
There’s no need to leave home to attend an Episcopal worship service! Many of our congregations offer online services, classes, and more!
Committtees, Commissions & Task Forces
Many of our ministries and governing bodies are supported through the work of one or more commissions, task forces, or committees. Typically composed of a mix of clergy and lay people, these groups are integral to the life and health of our diocese.
Episcopal Impact Fund
Episcopal Impact Fund delivers trust-based philanthropy to expand access to dignified housing and break the cycle of poverty for families, youth, and young adults in the Bay Area. Through grantmaking, advocacy, volunteer initiatives, and faith-based affordable housing development, we’re working toward a Bay Area where every person has the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
Schools
The Bay Area is home to numerous Episcopal schools and institutions providing a diverse array of educational and formation opportunities.
Camps & Retreat Centers
Grow in faith while experiencing the wonder of God’s creation at one of our excellent camp and retreat centers.
University Chaplaincies
The diocese supports two Episcopal chaplaincies in the Bay Area: one at UC Berkeley, and one at Stanford. Our university chaplains work with students, faculty, and staff to create spaces of welcome and belonging in the Episcopal tradition.
