Episcopal Chaplaincy to UC Berkeley Speaker series: Music of Creation

The Episcopal campus ministry at Cal is hosting a speaker series focused on how we are called to reshape our world through imaginative and intellectual process. The speakers will approach this idea from a variety of angles. Each talk follows the weekly service of choral evensong offered by the campus ministry.

November 14: Music of Creation - Dr. Jacob Sherman, California Institute of Integral Studies. Jacob will discuss the overlapping visions of creation and music that informed the work of Hildegard von Bingen and J.R.R. Tolkien in the Silmarillion. He will also explore the influence that Hildegard might have had on Tolkien.

When: begins at 6:30 with evensong. 7:15 talk.
