Harry Potter Day

Saturday, November 16, 2019 (All day)
Add to Calendar

This will be a magical day as Grace Cathedral turns into the Hogwarts school and children ages 6 and up (and their parents) come together to explore the roots of Anglican faith found in every chapter of the seven books. Bring your friends in the Potter fandom and have your wands ready for a spectacular day.

The schedule for the day is:
9:00 am                       Doors Open and Registration
10:00 am                     Morning Prayer, Welcome and Instructions
10:30 am                     Rotation #1
11:20 am                     Rotation #2
12:05 pm                     Lunch
12:50 pm                     Rotation #3
1:40 pm                       Rotation #4
2:30 pm                       Eucharist

The cost for the day is:
$40 for the first child (per family), $30 for the second sibling, $20 for the third
Adult chaperones are free.

If you have a love of the Harry Potter books, or a passion for children's ministry, or both, we would love to have your help with this huge undertaking. Maybe you know how to referee a Quiddich game. Perhaps you can lead kids in a wand-making class. Or you have lots of great ideas about how we can transform Grace Cathedral into Hogwarts by the Bay. We will need lots of adults and teens to lead each house and to make this day work.

Please email Caren Miles, Associate for Faith Formation, if you would like to volunteer in any way.
