Discernment is a set of practices to determine God’s will in our lives. Discernment has both individual and communal aspects; That is to say, it is about the individual, the community of the church, and the movement of the spirit. If you feel God is calling you to a new form of ministry, speak to your rector or vicar about forming a local discernment committee. Check out the links below for discernment resources:
COM
Fill out COM Assessments & Recommendations form.
This form is used by the Commission on Ministry to make their assessments and recommendations regarding the ordination process.
Standing Committee
The chair or assigned standing committee member can use this template to create a single document to collect Standing Committee Member signatures via email.

Bishop
Fill out the Bishop’s Decisions & Approvals form.
This form is used by the Bishop for decisions regarding the ordination process and placement.
