Amanda Kiernan Martin

Planned Giving Director

Prior to joining the Episcopal Diocese of California, Amanda served as a planned giving associate for the University of Notre Dame, assisting in the integration of major and planned gifts for capital campaigns. She spent a year working as a student practitioner at the Notre Dame Clinical Law center where she counseled individuals and businesses on issues relating to governance and taxation of nonprofits. She earned her law degree from the University of Notre Dame in May 2013, focusing on Trust & Estates, Tax and Nonprofit law. Prior to law school, she spent two years working for United Way in Columbus, Mississippi managing the grant writing process for expansion of water and electric services to local underdeveloped communities. In 2008, she earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Denver, where she was a teaching and research assistant in her department.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Amanda is an avid outdoor enthusiast and runner. She and her husband, Cody, live in Potrero Hill with their golden-labrador, Lily.
