Melissa became Vocations Officer after serving on  the Commission on Ministry.  Lifelong discernment for ministry in daily life (lay and ordained) is the grounding passion of her work. In addition to supporting individuals seeking ordination in the Diocese of California, she consults with local discernment committees, serves as the bishop’s liaison to the Commission on Ministry, and happily has coffee and conversation with inquirers about their own calls to ministry. Melissa is a member of Santiago/St. James, Oakland and Sacred Space, Oakland. She loves reading, travel, and British television.
